Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity believes that homeownership is nothing less than simple human dignity. Homeownership provides the social and financial foundation from which families can build their futures.

How it Works

  • Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH) receives as much donated money, materials and volunteer time as is possible.
  • Houses are built and sold at cost. No profit is attached to the sale price.
  • Homeowners make mortgage payments to GCHFH. This includes mortgage principal, property taxes and homeowners insurance. There is no interest charged on the mortgage.
  • Mortgage payments received help GCHFH build more houses for low-income families.

  • Must be low income based on regional income limits: www.nj.gov/dca/coah.
