You’ve heard a lot about Habitat for Humanity over the years but did you know that Gloucester County has been an active chapter since 1986? If not, you are not alone. However, we are working to change that.
Over the past 20 years, Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity has been helping your neighbors by building safe, decent and affordable housing and right now is an especially exciting time. Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity has purchased 12 sites for new homes. That means 12 families will have safe, affordable housing and add to their communities once these homes are built. But to do that we have to raise the money needed to build those homes - $100 for a new door or window, $1,000 for a new furnace – it adds up fast. To cover the construction costs to build one house in this development, we are hoping to raise $75,000 by March 31st 2009.
In an effort to raise these funds, we will be holding our Third Annual Casino Night on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm. The event will be held at Auletto Caterers located at 1849 Cooper Street in Almonesson, New Jersey. Please consider joining us for an evening of fine food and drink to help fulfill the dreams of deserving families in our community. We look forward to seeing you there to share in the games, prizes and fun!!!
